Further or Farther? Which is it?

I’ve got a way to remember which to use when…here it is:

FARTHER –> use it when you mean an actual, measurable distance. (Use the word part FAR to remind you that it has to do with actual distance.)

FURTHER — > use it in situations like when you want to say ‘furthermore’. Or in cases such as “I gave further explanation.”

This works for me and I hope it helps you, too.
