Book review– Protect Her (Druid’s Curse Book 1) by Sophia Kimble

5 Star review for Protect Her!

Ryan Jo Summers

Christmas is only days away and I feel as I just stepped off of a time machine. I just finished reading Protect Her and am now having a hard time bringing myself back to the real world of glittery trees and merry carols. While I normally don’t much go for demons and curses, this was a powerful book to read.

Sophia Kimble cover Protect Her

Golden and Kris are lovers who were cursed centuries ago by a terrible demon–like there’s ever been a good demon, right? The evil Lailoken first condemned Goldhain and Krzysztof to a fiery death, only to return at the appointed time, reincarnated. Destined to meet and fall in love, they could only hold each other a short time until their ultimate date with death once more. Endless times the young lovers reincarnate and repeat the sad cycle, forever trapped in a living, dying curse.

This time, however, it might turn out…

On the 8th Day of Christmas…My favorite holiday song and author Jeanne Hardt

Jessica Jefferson, Romance Author

I’m a singer.  Not a good one by any means, but I sing all the time.  This time of year, it’s none stop Christmas carols. I sing them in the car, in the shower, while cooking dinner…

Needless to say, my kids are about sick of it.  But every so often, the older one will put aside her preteen ego and join me in one of my favorite tunes – I’ll Be Home for Christmas.  We use our best Bing Crosby voices and go to town.  I love those moments of family bonding – you just know you’re making a memory.

Memories are an important part of Jeanne Hardt’s book, From the Ashes of Atlanta.

ashes-of-atlanta-coverAfter losing his Atlanta home and family to the war, Confederate soldier, Jeb Carter, somehow wakes up in a Boston hospital. Alone, desperate, and with a badly broken leg, he pretends to be mute to…

The Sixth Day of Christmas – Sophia Kimble

Me on the wonderful, Jeanne Hardt’s blog

Jeanne Hardt

On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me…

A beautiful Christmas tree!

My tree! My tree!

For years I went to the tree lot and got a ‘real’ tree. I never ventured into the woods like they did on “Christmas Vacation,” but I think that’s probably a good thing. I don’t like the cold that much! Still, I love the way a natural tree smells. It was fun picking out a tree until the time came that money was exceptionally tight and trees seemed to get higher and higher in price.

About seventeen years ago I succumbed to an artificial tree and loved it! Putting it together was always enjoyable and I knew I could bend the wires to make it look just right. Hanging ornaments was easy, too! This year, I passed the tree on to my son and enjoyed helping him and my grandson put it…
